Attachment 10118
The alliance tournament has always been one of the highlights for many players each year. So we are happy to announce the next one starting in three weeks. The registration is already open for all alliance leaders or moderators. It will close on November 5 and the games will begin on Wednesday, November 7. Read on for the rules and to find out how you and your alliance can participate.
With the registration already open, any alliance leader or alliance moderator can now go to the tournament page and choose between 5 and 7 (5 starters + 2 substitute players) players from their alliance by checking the checkboxes next to the player names (don’t forget to check your own name if you want to be part of the team). Since some alliances have up to 50 members, you can create more than one team.
But choose wisely, because once your team is chosen, there’s no turning back. That team will have to go to the end. You cannot add or replace players later. Should your team drop to less than 5 players (i.e. if players leave your alliance or delete their accounts), your team is disqualified from the competition.
Like in the last tournament, you can only substitute the players who are marked as substitutes during a round and once they are in, you cannot get the original player back into the game. When the round ends, however, you can choose a new starting five for your team and decide which players will be substitutes for the round. Due to high demand from the community, the games will be played on the German server, making the day change time 12 am CET. Also, the peace period at the beginning will be stretched to three days instead of two.
These are the dates again:
The games end after 20 days and teams receive 2 points for a win in a game (the DE points of all players from a team are accumulated and the team with the higher score wins) and 1 point for a draw (both teams having the same score). The team with the most points within a group moves on to the second round which will be played starting November 30, 2012.
For the complete rules and for registering your teams, please go to the tournament page (which you can also find in the “Community Menu” on the main page).
