By default, a standard S1914 game has a max inactivity period of 5 days meaning that it takes 5 days for an AI to replace a human player that has gone that long without issuing any orders.
I think this is too easy to exploit; a player can, for example, bombard an inactive for many days without having to fear any retaliation and therefore decimate armies without a single casualty. Worse still, the casualties are applied to your pvp k/d ratio which can make that record awfully misleading. Even in casual games being away longer than two or three days is inadvisable and will generally guarantee a loss. Supremacy is too fast paced for that.
Therefore, I suggest Bytro change the default inactivity period from 5 days to 2 days while allowing players to select a 1 day inactivity period for more competitive games. This won't help solve the inactivity problem but it will enhance the challenge of the game by bringing in an AI much sooner. As inept and predictable as it is, the AI will at least respond to player attacks, whereas otherwise the troops would be sitting ducks. This will also help enhance the accuracy of the pvp k/d ratio, naturally, as you would have much less time to exploit an inactive player.
